Company History
KnaufKassel from its roots up to the present – a story of success
KnaufKassel is a family-run business, meanwhile looking back on three generations of company history.
More than 75 years ago, the Reklame-Atelier (Advertising Studio) Hermann Knauf was founded in Kassel, an enterprise which, apart from a break during WW II, developed into a successful advertising agency.
With the sharp increase in specialist trade fairs in Germany, the company's field of activity and its structure changed. After renaming to Haus der Werbung ('House of Advertising') Hermann Knauf in 1962, the company was later split up into the advertising agency Werbeagentur Haus der Werbung and the exhibition builders KnaufKassel. At that point, the two enterprises together already had a staff of 70.
For lack of space, KnaufKassel moved its location first to Fuldatal-Ihringshausen, and then in 2000 to the commercial zone of Fuldabrück. Here, in a conveniently located area, a modern and pleasant building was erected, offering optimum functionality, short ways and a pleasant working environment.
For a number of years, KnaufKassel has been pursuing a further line of business with its Museum Interiors division.
